Associate Director of Data & Asset Management Services

Position Summary:

The Associate Director of Data & Asset Management Services plays a critical leadership role in the Operations department, overseeing the development, accuracy, and strategic use of operational data across the district. This position ensures timely and actionable reporting and management that supports decision-making, compliance, and continuous improvement in district operations, including bond, transportation, facilities, nutrition services, and other support functions.

Essential Duties:

Great Teaching & Learning (Instructional Infrastructure):
  • Provide actionable data insights that support instructional planning and resource allocation.
  • Develop dashboards that help school leaders monitor operational factors impacting learning environments (e.g., facilities, transportation).
  • Ensure reporting systems support instructional equity across campuses.
Great People (Talent Management):
  • Mentor and develop a team of analysts to build district-wide operational data literacy.
  • Collaborate with HR and leadership to align operational metrics with staff performance and development goals.
  • Support strategic workforce planning through data-driven forecasting and reporting.
Great Culture (Service & Equity):
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement through collaborative data sharing and analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district reporting standards to uphold public trust.
  • Translate complex data into accessible formats to support equitable service delivery.
  • Serve as a liaison across departments to align operational management with district equity goals.
Great Systems (Support & Accountability):
  • Lead the design and delivery of operational reports that drive transparency and accountability.
  • Ensure data integrity across platforms to support consistent and reliable decision-making.
  • Partner with IT to enhance reporting tools and automate processes for efficiency.
  • Monitor KPIs to evaluate system performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • 100% compliance with all regulatory, audit, and safety requirements
  • Documented evidence of equitable service access across schools
  • Quarterly monitoring confirms alignment of safety initiatives to literacy, numeracy, and postsecondary goals
  • Year-over-year increases in principal, staff, and student satisfaction with safety programs and services
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities):
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Data Analytics, Public Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in operational reporting, data analytics, or business intelligence, preferably in a public sector or educational environment.
  • Strong proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), Excel, and enterprise systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP).
  • Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional projects and managing teams.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of public school operations and regulatory reporting requirements is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in related degree.
  • PMP, Six Sigma, or Lean certification
  • Data analytics or business intelligence certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate)

*Relevant experience may be substituted for formal education at a 2:1 ratio. Therefore for every 1 year of college lacking, 2 years of directly relevant experience may be substituted.

Physical/Mental Requirements:
  • Must have adequate manual dexterity to write legibly and perform required duties on the computer.
  • Must have adequate visual acuity to read, interpret and transcribe written material and other required duties.
  • Requires normal range of hearing and clear speaking abilities to interact appropriately with others in person and on the telephone.
  • Requires some stooping, bending, stretching and occasional lifting not to exceed 50 pounds.
  • Physical agility, able to bend, stoop, sit on the floor, walk, reach and climb stairs.
  • Sitting for prolonged periods of time.
  • May periodically require work outside of normal business hours, including weekends, under sometimes. stressful conditions in order to meet business needs and strict deadlines.
Work Environment:
  • Office duties will be performed in a well-lighted, climate controlled environment.
