At Aegis Hospice, we believe no one understands a veteran like another veteran. That's why we're seeking individuals with military experience to join our Veteran-to-Veteran Volunteer program.
Connection and Companionship
We are looking for veteran volunteers to connect with our veteran patients. This is more than just volunteering; it's about forging a meaningful relationship based on shared history and understanding. You can offer companionship that truly makes a difference by:
- Sharing stores and life experiences.
- Offering companionship by sitting with a patient, playing games, or simply being present.
- Reading, walking, or engaging in hobbies together.
- Assisting with legacy creation through journaling or recording memories.
- Providing comfort and a listening ear.
Aegis Hospice will personally match you with a veteran patient who has similar interests, creating a mutually beneficial and supportive connection.
