We offer an expected salary range of $156,600 to $174,000, depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes a bonus and 401(k).

Primary Purpose of Position

This role involves advanced technical and engineering problem-solving in support of nuclear plant operations, serving as a valuable resource and technical expert to engineers. You will be responsible for making key technical decisions and will require a strong knowledge in your functional discipline and its practical applications, along with detailed knowledge of relevant industry codes and regulations.

Primary Duties and Accountabilities

• Provide expert technical guidance to design, manage, and implement engineering analysis, activities, and programs.
• Consult as a subject matter expert to identify and resolve equipment and system issues.
• Lead engineering and technical accountability for both short-term and long-term programs affecting site operations.
• Carry out engineering and technical tasks as directed, applying general engineering principles.
• Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work while maintaining proper configuration management and adherence to standard design criteria, practices, procedures, and codes for plans and specifications.
• Conduct independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses to support technical projects and programs.
• Advise on equipment, innovative concepts, and techniques to enhance performance, streamline construction, lower costs, rectify design flaws, or comply with evolving codes and regulations.
• Complete all other job assignments and responsibilities as directed by management, including emergency response duties, department coverage, and support for outage activities.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear) or a related science, OR a Professional Engineer license, OR an Active/Inactive SRO License with 5 years of engineering or related experience, including at least 1 year in a nuclear power plant environment.
• Must maintain minimum access requirements for unescorted access, along with successful completion of medical examinations and/or testing as relevant to position duties.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Professional Engineer registration or an advanced technical degree or related coursework.
