Technician - Histology

Location: New York, NY
We are seeking a skilled professional for a 24-week assignment in the Gross Room, working Monday through Friday from 1 PM to 9 PM. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in handling gross small biopsies and simple routine specimens under supervision.
Responsibilities
- Perform embedding and microtomy of all surgical specimens.
- Work collaboratively in a team environment to ensure accurate and efficient processing of specimens.
- Associate's degree in Science and completion of an approved Histology accredited program, or a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (required).
- Possession of a NYS Clinical Laboratory Technician License, Certified Histology Technician, or Clinical Lab Technician certification from the NYS Department of Education (required).
- 2-3 years of experience in histology, particularly with biopsy specimens and dermatological samples.
