About the Role:
The Automotive Parts Specialist plays a vital role in supporting our DIY customers by providing expert knowledge and assistance in automotive parts and systems. If you are passionate about cars and love helping others, this is the job for you
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver a top-notch customer service experience for DIY customers both in-store and over the phone.
- Meet and exceed personal and store sales goals.
- Manage various DIY services, including battery installation and testing, and wiper installs.
- Maintain exceptional standards of customer service and store presentation.
- Fulfill key holder responsibilities, such as task management and security duties.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Assist with store inventory processes, including stock management and organization.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the store and surrounding areas.
- Provide hands-on DIY services for our customers.
Success Factors:
- Exceptional communication skills and friendly demeanor.
- Ability to locate, stock, and manage inventory efficiently.
- Safety awareness and knowledge of retail operations.
- Proficient with POS systems and parts lookup tools.
- High level of parts and automotive system knowledge.
Essential Skills:
- Understanding of automotive diagnostics and systems (engine, brakes, suspension, etc.).
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with customers and team members.
- Ability to follow instructions and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for accurate measurement and transactions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
- Strong organizational skills and reliability.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in automotive parts sales is preferred.
- Demonstrated sales ability and customer service experience.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- ASE certification is a plus, but not required.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires a willingness to engage in various physical activities as part of the job.
Compensation:
The hourly wage for this position ranges from $19.95 to $21.95, depending on various factors such as location and experience.
