Spherion Staffing is seeking experienced Quality Inspectors for a premier aerospace manufacturing leader in Tallassee. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity designed for detail-oriented professionals looking to launch a long-term career in a high-tech environment.
Perform complex visual and dimensional inspections on composite components and aerospace assemblies. You will ensure every part-from first article to final inspection-meets rigorous safety and customer specifications.
Available Shifts:
1st Shift : Mon-Fri | 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
3rd Shift: Sun-Thurs | 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Responsibilities:
Inspection: Verify part locations, angles, and dimensions using precision measuring equipment.
Documentation: Generate non-conforming material reports and maintain accurate test records.
Compliance: Audit safety and environmental policies; review documentation for Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
Collaboration: Communicate procedure accuracy to engineering and production teams; recommend corrective actions.
Maintenance: Monitor and calibrate critical tooling and instrumentation to ensure operational readiness.
Working hours: Various Shifts Available
Skills:
Advanced Tooling: Experience with Barcol, Dual scope, and Ohms meters.
Software: Proficiency in technical/specialized manufacturing software.
Problem Solving: Proven ability to support continuous improvement and independent decision-making.

Qualifications:
Technical Literacy: Ability to read/interpret blueprints, manufacturing sketches, and customer specs.
Math Proficiency: Strong arithmetic skills (decimal calculations) and understanding of tolerances.
Tooling: Expertise in using calipers, micrometers, and various gauges (bore, height, depth, etc.).
Compliance: Ability to pass a Level I Inspector Qualification Exam and vision/hearing screenings.
Education: High School Diploma or GED.
