Position: Inventory Control Specialist
Pay: $17-$18/hour
Shift: 1st Shift

The Lee Group is hiring an Inventory Control Specialist for a manufacturing company located in Virginia Beach, VA. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with strong forklift skills and experience in inventory systems. In this role, you'll be responsible for managing product flow, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting shipping and receiving operations.
Job Responsibilities of Inventory Control Specialist:
- Issue raw materials and components to production teams to keep operations running smoothly
- Relocate materials between departments or storage areas as needed
- Track all inventory movement using the inventory management platform
- Conduct routine inventory counts and support periodic audits
- Unload deliveries and verify incoming goods before placing them in the correct storage locations
- Prepare outbound orders, package items, and load shipments onto delivery vehicles
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure shipping schedules and documentation are accurate
- Maintain accurate records for incoming and outgoing inventory transactions
- Safely operate both stand-up and sit-down forklifts, as well as company vehicles
- Keep workspaces neat, organized, and compliant with safety standards
- Help onboard and guide new team members when necessary
- Identify and report damaged goods or shipment inconsistencies
- Take on other warehouse and inventory-related tasks as assigned
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license in good standing
- Must have experience with both stand-up and sit-down forklifts
- One to three months of inventory or warehouse experience preferred
- Comfortable with basic math and using measurement tools
- Frequent standing, lifting, and walking throughout the shift
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor environments, sometimes in extreme weather
- Exposure to machinery, airborne particles, and moderate industrial noise is expected
