Job Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a crucial role in delivering professional nursing care to residents of all ages in long-term care settings. Working under the supervision of a registered nurse or healthcare provider, you will apply nursing principles to support the physical and emotional well-being of residents. Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring health, comfort, and safety of residents.
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Documenting resident interactions and outcomes of care.
- Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to provide holistic care.
- Educating residents and family members about care plans and treatments.
We seek individuals who are able to assess resident needs and respond effectively in emergency situations, demonstrating problem-solving skills and the ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality.
Qualifications
- Graduated from an accredited practical nursing program and hold a valid LPN license.
- Experience in long-term care is preferred.
- IV therapy/management certification may be required based on state regulations.
- Must have clinical experience spanning the life span or at least 400 hours as an LPN.
- Willingness to engage in ongoing education and training.
