The Records Administrator will support the handling, organization, tracking, and maintenance of laboratory records while ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with internal and regulatory requirements. This role is responsible for coordinating record requests, managing document storage workflows, and serving as a subject matter expert for PHI-related processes within the business unit. The position also supports compliance activities, audits, and reporting requirements critical to operational integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, log, and track boxes designated for long-term records storage.
- Serve as liaison between the business unit and long-term storage vendors.
- Maintain departmental records, files, and contracts in an organized and compliant manner.
- Act as Business Unit Subject Matter Expert for PHI requests, PHIT database entries, and privacy-related auditing and monitoring.
- Assist with deployment of compliance activities, including tracking annual requirements.
- Document and track employee completion of compliance-related documents.
- Review and process requests for test orders; create custom requisitions as needed.
- Support general departmental requirements, ensuring timely and accurate task completion.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Experience creating, uploading, and managing documents in SharePoint.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Customer service experience and strong communication skills.
- Associate's degree in Business, Science, or related field.
- Prior experience working with PHI or compliance-related databases.
- Experience coordinating document storage or retrieval processes.
