The Radiology Supervisor - Mammography Services is responsible for supervising, organizing, and coordinating clinical and technical operations to ensure the delivery of timely and high-quality services.
Education:- Graduate of an accredited imaging program in Radiography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Nuclear Medicine Technology, Sonography, or Vascular Sonography.
- Bachelor's Degree in a healthcare field is preferred.
- Minimum of four (4) years of progressive responsibility in Radiology operations, addressing procedures, workflow, quality monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience is preferred.
- If assigned to Mammography, must have ARRT (M) certification as a Mammography Technologist.
- Must possess MRT certification from Texas Department of State Health Services or Texas Medical Board.
All positions require a current Healthcare Provider (BLS Level) CPR certification, achieved through:
- American Heart Association
- American Red Cross Rescuer
- Military Training Network
- Strong understanding of Radiology Operations, including workflow and staff logistics.
- Excellent time management skills to successfully handle multiple projects and assignments.
- Effective verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to assess process flow requirements to enhance patient flow and staffing.
- Demonstrated independent judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Serve as a leader and expert in Mammography and related modalities, responsible for staff selection, training, and supervision to optimize service delivery.
- Uphold policies, conduct staff appraisals, and promote patient safety by responding to inquiries with professionalism.
- Manage fiscal resources for the assigned Radiology area, ensuring optimal utilization and flexibility in staffing to meet changing demands.
- Implement initiatives to enhance work processes and improve customer satisfaction, aligning with Parkland’s goals.
- Ensure compliance with quality control and safety regulations, facilitating timely access to necessary equipment and supplies.
- Provide patient care as a Technologist as needed, ensuring optimal imaging procedures and patient safety.
- Assist with the implementation of new programs related to imaging modalities, collaborating with vendors and monitoring supplies.
- Engage in departmental performance improvement initiatives and promote effective communication within interdisciplinary teams.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and customer satisfaction within Radiology.
- Stay updated on industry advancements through seminars, journals, and professional organizations.
- Maintain knowledge of rules, regulations, and guidelines impacting operations.
