As a Field Sales Specialist at TruGreen, you'll be the friendly face in the neighborhood, connecting with homeowners personally to showcase the advantages of customized lawn care solutions. Armed with knowledge, enthusiasm, and a commitment to TruGreen's acclaimed Sales Playbook, you'll offer tailored services right at their doorsteps, transforming casual conversations into enduring customer relationships.
Your Responsibilities - You will represent TruGreen, interacting with homeowners directly to understand their unique needs and provide tailored lawn care solutions that foster trust and satisfaction. Each day presents an opportunity to connect, educate, and win their business.
- Engage with new and existing customers through door-to-door outreach with professionalism, positivity, and enthusiasm.
- Tailor sales messages to reflect the individual lawn care needs of each household because no two yards (or customers) are alike.
- Utilize a proven sales methodology and processes to convert interest into signed contracts.
- Document interactions and monitor performance using a CRM to track activity and measure success, as tracking progress is crucial.
- Cross-sell and upsell thoughtfully, demonstrating to customers how they can enhance their lawns.
What You Bring - You don't need extensive gardening knowledge to excel here; just a strong desire to succeed and the interpersonal skills to turn every interaction into a promising lead.
- A high school diploma or GED is required (we highly value exceptional people skills).
- Experience in sales or customer service is a plus, but a strong ambition and work ethic can be even more valuable.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record, as we seek dependable and road-ready representatives.
- Excellent communication skills, whether initiating small talk or engaging in closing discussions; you maintain clarity and sincerity.
- Effective time management skills, exhibiting a self-starter attitude, where you thrive without needing direction.
- Comfort with technology and mobile devices (no coding required, just tap, swipe, and go).
- Physical capability to walk, stand, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds while working outdoors.

Pay Ranges
This range is based on the qualifications necessary for this position, including experience, training, and other considerations permitted by law. Factors for making an offer include a candidate's skills, experience, geographic location, and expected quality and quantity of work. Most candidates will begin in the lower half of the pay range. The top end of the range is generally reserved for candidates with substantial experience. An employee's pay history will not be a factor where prohibited by local law. In addition to monetary compensation, we offer benefits such as Medical/Dental/Vision insurance and a Company-matching 401(k) along with other programs and perks.
