We are seeking a highly motivated Inventory Specialist that will receive, store, and issue materials, equipment, and other items from the warehouse. The inventory Specialist will keep records and compile stock reports. The Inventory Specialist will compile and maintain material and parts inventory with status information to expedite movement of material and parts between production areas by performing the required duties.

Job Summary:

The Inventory Specialist supports the procurement department by assisting with the purchasing of goods and services. This role involves coordinating with suppliers, managing purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery of products. Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate records, tracking inventory levels, and providing administrative support to the Purchasing Manager. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders.

What you bring:
  • Prior experience in a warehouse or inventory control position
  • Thorough knowledge of purchasing, inventory, and materials management procedures is required, plus a familiarity with standard concepts, practices and procedures within the field.
  • Must be able to work in a high volume/fast paced environment and handle multiple tasks. Must demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and the ability to prioritize workload.
  • Must have a positive and respectful attitude and maintain good working relationships with management staff and employees.
  • Must be resourceful to problem solve and navigate the task(s) at hand.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Willing to take the initiative on tasks and seek new opportunities for projects.
  • Must be able to work in a high volume/fast paced environment and handle multiple tasks. Must demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and the ability to prioritize workload.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the receiving, processing, and storing of incoming deliveries both physically and in the system.
  • Monitor and track inventory levels to ensure accuracy and availability.
  • Assist in conducting regular inventory counts and reconciliations
  • Help prepare orders for shipment and ensure timely delivery.
  • Processes material transfers both physically and in the system.
  • Process and tracks return and repair materials.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Handles facility issues as they arise
  • Primary point of contact for procurement manager when out.
Education and Preferred Experience:
  • Successful candidate will have a minimum two (2) years related work experience in Inventory Control; demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capabilities; strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to work well with all other departments.
  • General knowledge of purchasing, inventory, and materials management procedures is desired.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Ability to maintain spreadsheets in Excel.
