What you get to do:
As a Safety and Environmental Supervisor - you will
- Complete regulatory inspections of the hazardous waste facility, collection sites, UST/AST, oil/grease containers, generators and any other potential pollution source
- Complete regulatory monthly sampling and reporting
- Collect environmental data and enter into excel or other computer software
- Conduct park environmental training
- Assist with the development of EHS projects.
- Participate in EHS inspections throughout the park to ensure that all departments are in compliance with company, local, state and federal environmental regulations.
- Develop corrective action plans and ensures completion
- Attend department meetings and general EHS sensitive meetings
- Assist with any environmental clean up
- Participate in Safety Duty Officer program on a rotational basis
- Provide exceptional, professional guest service in a team environment.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with Ambassadors, Vendors and our Guests.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma
- 2 years of Environmental experience or education preferred
- 2 years of experience in EHS or a related field preferred
- Knowledge of local, state and federal regulations preferred
- Training in hazardous waste management, accumulation and transportation preferred
- Ability to troubleshoot, or maintain/repair scientific equipment preferred
- Theme Park experience preferred
- Possession of a valid state driver's license preferred
- Possession of a valid Florida Driver's License
- Certified in RCRA, HazWoper, & UST/AST preferred
- Ability to maintain a valid DOT physical card
- Ability to meet company driving guidelines
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
- Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shift and climb/ascend heights, if needed
- Perform the following physical activities: kneeling, squatting, bend floor-to waist/waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools/keyboard/writing)
- Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, to include extreme heat. Position may be exposed to fumes, dust, odors, and cold/heat temperature extremes
Perform cleaning duties, including use of cleaning chemicals
- Work a flexible schedule/hour based on business need, to include opening, mid-, and closing shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
