FORKLIFT OPERATOR

Spherion Staffing is searching for experienced Forklift Operators to work a temp to hire position at one of our growing clients located in Grantsville, UT.
This warehouse is a 3PL (Third Party Logistics) and will transfer goods and materials from incoming and outbound shipments via a forklift, in addition to moving materials throughout the warehouse.
The hours for this position are Wed-Fri 7AM-7PM.
Starting pay is $20/hr.
ou MUST have prior forklift experience in order to be considered for this role.
Responsibilities:
* Operate a manually controlled gasoline or electric powered Forklift to pick-up, deliver or move materials around the warehouse location
* Able to operate standard lifting devices and other basic material handling equipment
* Operate machinery to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials
* Perform the following: loads, unloads and stacks materials onto lifting device, weighs material or products and records on production schedules.
* Perform safety checks on lifts.
* The ability to follow instructions, either while working independently, or as part of a team.
* Comply with all company policies and legal guidelines
* Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance.
* Other duties and responsibilities will be assigned as business demands are deemed necessary.
Working hours: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Skills:
* Reading and writing English, knowledge of airport codes destinations and basic geography knowledge.
* Exhibits strong typing skills/or data entry skills.
* Must be detail oriented and able to work in a fast pace, high volume environment.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
* Actively participates in safety policies, activities, and implementations
