Java& Web Technologies Developer

CTG is seeking to fill a Java & Web Technologies Developer position for our client in Houston, TX.

Duration: 11 months

Duties:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance applications using Java and modern web technologies.

• Build and deploy scalable microservices using Spring Boot and related frameworks.

• Develop RESTful APIs with a strong focus on performance, security, and maintainability.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.

• Implement CI/CD pipelines and ensure best practices in software delivery and DevOps.

• Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code following software engineering standards.

• Participate in code reviews, troubleshoot production issues, and optimize application performance.

Skills:

• Java 11/17/21, Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA, Spring Cloud

• Go (Golang) in a production environment

• Microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, OpenAPI/Swagger

• MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL

• CI/CD pipelines, DevOps tools and practices

• Familiarity with Angular, Node.js, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

Experience:

• 5+ years of professional experience in Java development

• 4+ years with the Spring ecosystem

• 1-2 years hands-on Go (Golang) experience

• Strong understanding of microservices and event-driven architecture (Kafka, RabbitMQ)

• Solid grasp of testing frameworks and methodologies for Java and Go

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
