We are seeking motivated candidates for a rewarding plumbing position. As an essential member of our team, you will play a vital role in the installation of plumbing for new construction, while also overseeing and mentoring apprentice plumbers to ensure top-notch quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately install and run drain-waste-vent (DWV) systems, water lines, gas lines, and pump installations in accordance with local codes and company quality standards.
- Consistently apply state codes to all projects to comply with regulations.
- Effectively read and interpret blueprints and building plans to execute tasks efficiently.
- Provide coaching and support to apprentices, sharing your knowledge and expertise to foster their growth.
- Carefully plan and organize project materials and tasks to enhance productivity and efficiency on job sites.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including job sites and service vehicles, to uphold a professional image.
- Exhibit excellent attendance and punctuality, ensuring reliability for your team.
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure high-quality workmanship in all tasks undertaken.
- Demonstrate pride in your work by delivering exceptional, first-time quality results.
- Build positive relationships with team members across various trades on each job site for seamless cooperation.
- Display an exemplary work ethic for apprentices to emulate.
- Communicate effectively with the project superintendent and team members during daily meetings to discuss progress and needs.
- Timely complete all necessary paperwork, including time sheets and project documentation.
Qualifications:
- Strong motivation and work ethic.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and blueprints.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Valid driver’s license is mandatory.
- Obtain apprentice licensing in the relevant state.
- Willing to work in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to work with loud noises and in physically demanding environments.
- Must be able to perform physical activities including walking, standing, using hands, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds on occasion.
- Wear personal protective equipment as required.
- Potential for travel to out-of-town or out-of-state projects.
