Job Description

The MedSurg/Tele Float Pool Registered Nurse will provide care to patients with a variety of diagnoses, including CHF, cardiac cath, CP, pneumonia, chronic renal disease, COPD, orthopedic conditions, and oncology. The RN will float to several units as needed, primarily 6N and 7N, while maintaining a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6, with occasional adjustments based on patient acuity.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients within the scope of practice.
• Assess and monitor patient conditions, recognizing changes and intervening as necessary.
• Collaboration with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient care.
• Read and interpret cardiac strips; manage basic telemetry patients.
• Adhere to safety and protocol standards during patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN License.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Experience with cardiac rhythm interpretation is mandatory; passing a cardiac rhythm exam is required.
• First-time travelers are considered.
