The Per Diem Pharmacist appropriately dispenses prescribed drugs, handles incoming physician calls, logs data into the computer, performs Rx workflow processing, and conducts drug utilization reviews.
This is a per diem position in Chicago, IL (3635 N. Halsted St.) and the pharmacy is open M-F from 9am to 5pm, so we are looking for a Pharmacist who has flexible availability to work during those days and times (as needed).
NOTE: This position is only as needed, so there's no regular weekly work schedule.
No evenings or weekends

About the Role:
- Properly dispense, order, and maintain proper inventory of drugs and supplies, pursuant to all state and federal laws and regulations
- Maintain the highest quality of pharmaceutical care and services
- When filling in for the Pharmacist-in-Charge, manage pharmacy operations and supervise one or more Pharmacy Technicians
- Collaborate with physicians to discuss potential incompatibility issues with patient prescriptions
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Perform in accordance with company policies and standards
- Embrace and perform in the spirit of the company's core values and goals
- Bachelor's or Doctoral (PharmD) degree in Pharmacy from an accredited university
- Active Pharmacist license in good standing in the State of Illinois
- 2+ years of full-time retail and/or specialty pharmacy experience preferred
- 340B experience and/or AAHIVP certification a plus
- Proficient in English with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, time management, and customer-service skills
- Able to efficiently work with, mentor, and supervise one or more Pharmacy Technicians

Pay range: $60 to $65 per hour, based on credentials and geographic location
