Senior Product Engineer

Job Description
The Senior Product Engineer will support air- and water-cooled products. You will work within the Engineering Department to develop and document designs within the scope of products manufactured. You will help develop new technologies and facilitate the transfer of existing technology to support the North American market.
Responsibilities
- Develop new products and supporting documentation based on project scope, market needs, and regulatory requirements.
- Create documentation for the modification of designs and Bills of Material to support new products, transfer of products, manufacturing process improvements, and cost-saving activities on existing products.
- Design electromechanical products by applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, and materials.
- Perform computational fluid dynamic and finite element modeling and structural simulation for the products. Interpret results and recommend design changes/directions to meet product performance requirements.
- Support customer applications with heat transfer, energy, and chiller system designs. Review approval and manufacturing drawing packages.
- Support other engineers and designers with product development projects related to design and documentation.
- Possibility to lead a team of 3-5 members consisting of engineers, drafters, and contractors.
- Create, disseminate, and maintain Institutionalized Application and Performance knowledge, acting as the subject matter expert on products.
- Gather, catalogue, control, and teach throughout sales, engineering, service, and production teams.
- Serve as Design Standardization Authority.
- Degree in engineering or demonstrated equivalency.
- Experience with refrigeration, refrigerants, and fluid flow.
- Eight or more years of experience in engineering.
- Experience with heat transfer systems and thermodynamics.
- Prior leadership experience is preferred.
- Program or project management skills.

This is a Permanent position based out of Owatonna, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
