Job Description
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, and equipment.
  • Analyze project requirements and collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure accurate estimates.
  • Evaluate subcontractor bids and negotiate pricing to optimize project budgets.
  • Monitor market trends and pricing to maintain up-to-date cost databases.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and reliable sourcing.
  • Review project plans, specifications, and documents to identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
  • Provide support during project execution by addressing any estimation-related issues that arise.
  • Prepare reports and presentations to communicate cost estimates and project budgets to stakeholders.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Estimator should have:
  • A strong understanding of construction processes and cost estimation techniques.
  • Proficiency in using estimation software and tools.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with project teams and stakeholders.
  • A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
