Job Summary and Qualifications

The CT Technologist at our Freestanding Emergency Room and Urgent Care Clinic is responsible for performing high-quality CT procedures in line with standards established by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology and hospital policies. You will play a crucial role in ensuring patient safety while using radiation responsibly and understanding human anatomy in order to optimize imaging quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize CT scanners effectively while maintaining thorough knowledge of operating parameters.
  • Follow established protocols to ensure high-quality imaging.
  • Adapt scanning techniques for trauma and challenging cases.
  • Communicate findings effectively to Radiologists.
  • Prioritize workflow to accommodate urgent demands while maintaining quality.
  • Demonstrate safe usage of power injectors and adhere to guidelines.
  • Keep accurate patient records and ensure imaging is labeled correctly.

Education:

  • Graduation from an American Medical Association accredited program in Radiologic Technology.
  • Completion of CT curriculum and continuing education in Cross Sectional Anatomy.

Experience:

  • Preferred: One year of experience in Computed Tomography procedures.

Licensure/Certification Requirements:

  • Certification by the Texas Department of State Health Services as a Medical Radiologic Technologist.
  • ARRT Certification in Radiology and post-primary CT certification within one year of assignment.
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
