Located in Plymouth Meeting, PA, our multi-service animal hospital offers general practice, specialty services, 24/7 emergency care, boarding, grooming, daycare, and rehabilitation. Your Role:
As a Veterinary Anesthesia Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring safe and effective anesthesia and patient monitoring for specialty and emergency cases. You will collaborate closely with our veterinarians and technicians to provide the highest standard of care. Your responsibilities will include:

• Serving as the primary technician for anesthesia cases, managing induction, monitoring, and recovery.
• Assisting with specialty, emergency, and routine surgical procedures.
• Developing and following anesthesia plans in collaboration with veterinarians.
• Preparing and maintaining surgical and anesthesia equipment and supplies.
• Recording accurate patient information, anesthetic parameters, and treatment plans.
• Monitoring patient vitals and pain levels, ensuring comfort and safety throughout each procedure.
• Supporting postoperative recovery and communicating updates to the medical team.

General Technician Duties:
You will also be responsible for:

• Safely handling and restraining patients for exams, procedures, and diagnostics.
• Placing IV catheters and administering medications (IV, IM, SQ, oral).
• Performing laboratory tests and obtaining diagnostic samples as needed.
• Maintaining clean, organized, and well-stocked surgical and treatment areas.
• Collaborating with the medical team to ensure seamless patient care and communication.

Schedule:
This is a full-time position with a typical schedule of Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and rotating Thursday/Saturday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, along with one day per week from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

Compensation:
- $25-30/hour, depending on experience
- $5,000 sign-on bonus

Requirements:
We are looking for candidates who have:

• Previous veterinary technician experience.
• Experience in anesthesia; specialty or emergency experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
