We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Mechanical Engineer to join a dynamic team in the consumer technology industry. This role focuses on the development of pioneering sleep fitness products that integrate cutting-edge materials and sensor technologies to promote user health and recovery. The position involves managing the entire hardware development lifecycle, from initial prototyping to large-scale manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of innovative consumer products focused on sleep and fitness.
- Manage end-to-end hardware development processes, ensuring integration of advanced materials and sensors.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product specifications are met.
- Utilize CAD software (Solidworks, NX, or Creo) to create detailed product designs.
- Apply expertise in injection molding, sheet metal, and soft goods to optimize design for manufacturability.
- Drive projects from concept through to high-volume production.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years' experience in consumer product development.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as Solidworks, NX, or Creo.
- Strong knowledge of injection molding, sheet metal, and soft goods.
- Proven track record of managing projects in fast-paced environments.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and take ownership of projects.
- Competitive base salary ranging from $180,000 to $220,000 with additional equity options.
