VP - Data Products (Reporting & Analytics)

Overview:
This role focuses on establishing Data-as-a-Product practices at Allied World. The VP will lead the design, delivery, and adoption of data products that align with business goals and drive data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute data product strategy, roadmap, and delivery.
- Implement best-in-class reporting and analytics tools (Power BI, QlikView, Cognos).
- Work with business stakeholders to define and prioritize data needs.
- Serve as Product Owner for the Data Engineering team, driving agile delivery.
- Ensure data quality, security, and governance across solutions.
- Provide leadership, stakeholder engagement, and project oversight.
- Partner with security and engineering teams to align data initiatives.
- 8+ years in reporting, analytics, or business intelligence (3+ in leadership).
- Strong experience with data visualization tools, data warehouses, ETL/ELT, and cloud (AWS, Azure, Databricks).
- Insurance industry experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field.
- Agile Product Owner certification preferred.
