The Platform Product Group engineers focus on creating a trusted, scalable, and compliant platform that operates with efficiency, speed, and quality. Our group includes various teams, such as Product Foundations, AI Platform, Core Automation, and Infrastructure.

As part of the Core Automation Team, you'll engage in innovative AI solutions and automation that enhance productivity, drive innovation, and significantly impact customer experience at Coinbase. Your role will be pivotal in streamlining operations for customer support and compliance teams while reshaping AI-powered customer interactions through advanced models and diverse data sources, including blockchain data.

• Explore and implement advanced GenAI techniques, such as LLMs and Agentic AI, to solve complex problems across the organization.
• Lead projects by managing priorities, deadlines, and deliverables using your technical expertise.
• Write high-quality, well-tested code in Python and Golang to address critical product and business needs.
• Design scalable, secure systems using modern cloud technologies and best practices.
• Mentor team members on design principles, coding standards, and AI productivity tool adoption.
• Debug intricate technical issues to optimize system reliability, scalability, and operational ease.
• Review designs across teams for security, scalability, and architectural integrity.
• Develop integration pipelines with third-party vendors to streamline workflows.

• A minimum of 5 years in software engineering.
• Proven experience in designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production services, with a strong grasp of micro-services architecture.
• Expertise in writing high-quality, well-tested code that satisfies customer needs.
• A comprehensive understanding of high-quality code and software engineering processes, with the ability to foster an environment that encourages them.
• Strong skills in system design and coding.
• A passion for building an open financial system that connects the world.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, favoring open and transparent practices.

• Experience with rapid company growth (from startup to mid-size).
• Familiarity with GenAI frameworks/tools, Python, GoLang, Docker, Postgres, and MongoDB.
• A background in AI/LLM infrastructure is a significant advantage.

The target annual salary for this position varies based on your work location, with a range of $186,065 to $218,900 USD. Full-time offers from Coinbase also include bonus eligibility, equity options, and comprehensive benefits (including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)).
