Selectek has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer. The Project Engineer will support and execute engineering and project delivery tasks for wastewater conveyance systems and industrial conveyor equipment (screw conveyors) used in wastewater/sludge/solids handling applications. The ideal candidate bridges detailed technical engineering, project coordination, and customer interface — working from concept through design, fabrication, start-up, and commissioning. Position Tasks & Responsibilities: • Interpret customer requirements and specifications for wastewater conveyance or solids-handling conveyor systems; translate into engineering deliverables (drawings, specs, layouts, general arrangement). •Perform engineering calculations, selection of equipment (motors, drives, conveyance components), and material sizing (structural supports, load calculations, drive sizing) for conveyor systems. • Prepare project scopes, cost estimates, schedules, and budgets; track progress against them. • Review and approve equipment/submittal drawings, vendor proposals, shop drawings, and fabrication documents. • Coordinate with manufacturing/fabrication, purchasing, field installation, and commissioning teams to ensure project milestones are met and quality expectations are achieved. • Provide technical support in the field (shop visits, installation supervision, start-up, commissioning, testing). • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements relevant to wastewater systems (e.g., hydraulic conveyance, solids handling, environmental/municipal standards) and conveyor design codes. • Interface with customers, contractors, and internal teams; provide status updates, manage change orders, and resolve technical issues. • Maintain project documentation (engineering files, change logs, factory test reports) and ensure proper handover for operation/maintenance. Required: Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering 3+ years of project engineering or project management experience for wastewater systems, conveyance systems or industrial conveyor equipment is ideal. Other areas or project engineering or management experience that will be considered are oil/gas, chemical plants, or some other kind of industrial equipment Experience with design, fabrication, installations and commissioning of industrial conveyors or wastewater conveyance systems (e.g. pipelines, pumps, solid handling conveyors) or similar heavy industrial equipment Experience with load calculations, motor/drive sizing, and material handling design CAD Proficiency with AutoCAD and 3D Design tools (SolidWorks or Inventor) Strong written and verbal communication skills Benefit Info When Direct: Medical, Dental and Vision; employee portion paid at 100% 401K match up to 6% 10 paid holidays each year 80 - 120 hours for PTO 56 hours for Sick Days Office closure/remote work from 12/22 – 1/5 in 2025 Bi-weekly payroll Voluntary supplement insurance Term Life Insurance up to $100K, ER paid Sponsorship: No, candidates must be U.S. Citizen or a Green Card holder Pay range: $39/hour - $50.50/hour ($81,000 - $106,000 annual salary) Term of assignment: 6 months contract to direct Pay method when direct: Salary, no OT pay Location of job:  Alpharetta, GA 30005 Hours and shift: Monday – Friday, 8AM – 5PM Work from home/remote:  No Overtime expected: None on contract; they will ask them not to work overtime unless approved.
