Title: Startup Program Manager
Start2 Group is seeking a dynamic and highly organized Startup Program Manager to drive the success of our U.S. Startup Programs. Compensation: $110,000 annually
Key Responsibilities
- Play a crucial role in planning and executing programs tailored for international startups entering the U.S. market.
- Ensure program operations run smoothly by scheduling workshops, coordinating events, and providing support to participants to meet set goals.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of impactful program materials, including presentations and resources.
- Collaborate with mentors to design customized activities and events for startup cohorts.
- Manage program logistics such as venue bookings and tracking milestones.
Community Engagement & Relationship Management:
- Serve as a key representative of Start2 Group within the Silicon Valley startup ecosystem, cultivating valuable relationships with investors, mentors, and corporate partners.
- Engage in networking events and community gatherings to connect international startups with local resources.
- Coordinate with our San Francisco co-working space as the main point of contact.
- Build partnerships with local organizations and innovation hubs to enhance visibility and access for startups.
- Manage community communications to foster engagement among stakeholders.
- Assist in outreach efforts to recruit startups, mentors, and speakers for events.
- Partner with the marketing team to produce content that highlights program successes.
Mentorship & Advisory Support:
- Evaluate startup pipelines to identify candidates best suited for the U.S. market.
- Provide exceptional support to portfolio companies and help enhance our U.S. programs.
- Facilitate connections between startups and experienced mentors in scaling businesses within the U.S.
- Receive training to provide mentorship to portfolio companies.
Program Monitoring & Improvement:
- Collect and analyze feedback for continuous improvement of programs.
- Track program performance and key metrics, assisting with reporting to stakeholders.
- Regularly communicate updates to ensure stakeholders are informed about program outcomes.
- Assist in refining program offerings to meet the needs of international startups.
General Support & Collaboration:
- Work closely with the marketing and execution teams for effective program promotion.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create an inclusive environment for startups.
- Offer administrative and logistical support to ensure program success.
What You'll Bring to the Role
- Strategic Thinking & Program Management: Experience in supporting programs for startups, particularly in scaling and market entry.
- Stakeholder Management & Networking: Established networks within the U.S. startup ecosystem including startups, investors, and mentors.
- U.S. Market Expertise: Familiarity with the U.S. startup landscape including regulatory considerations for international companies.
- Cross-Cultural Competence: Ability to navigate cultural differences impacting international entrepreneurs.
- Team Collaboration & Leadership: Proven teamwork capabilities in fast-paced environments.
- Operational & Financial Skills: Strong organizational abilities to manage various programs effectively.
The Ideal Candidate:
- 3+ years of experience in program management, entrepreneurship, or related fields.
- A deep understanding of the U.S. startup ecosystem and challenges faced by international companies.
- A natural connector who excels in relationship-building within the startup community.
- Experience with event organization and stakeholder engagement.
- Comfort with market entry strategies and corporate consulting.
- Experience with international organizations or startups.
- Self-starter with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
- Passion for supporting international startups through the complexities of the U.S. market.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
- Professional proficiency in English.
