Summary

SMSI is looking for a summer intern to support our Human Resources team in a full-time capacity. The intern will work closely with our HR team. The intern will benefit from hands-on experience, technical training, mentoring from professional staff, and working within a positive team environment. The internship will run from May of 2025 - August of 2025.

Job Responsibilities may include
  • Write and post job openings and maintain records using our applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Assists with candidate screening, review resumes and applications and conduct initial interviews to screen for qualifications.
  • Review job postings for compliance requirements.
  • Monitoring and managing the company's social media platforms, adjusting outreach tactics as needed.
  • Supports HR & Recruiting team with other administrative tasks as needed.
  • Human Resources compliance requirements.
Required Skills/Abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Works effectively in a team environment.
  • Positive attitude and a good work ethic.
  • Self-motivated to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are a must.
  • Demonstrates drive to achieve goals.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools including Word, Excel and Outlook.
Educational Requirements
  • Student must be enrolled at an accredited university, with the goal of obtaining a bachelor's degree in: Communications, Business, Finance/ Accounting, Human Resources, Marketing or Psychology.
  • Students must be entering their Junior, or Senior, year in school beginning fall of 2025; or be enrolled in a master's program for fall of 2025.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk, using telephone and working on a computer.
