Responsibilities

  • Perform study-related tasks in accordance with protocol requirements, including, but not limited to Quality of Life assessments, vital signs, ECGs, and other protocol-specific tasks.
  • Collect source data from referring physicians and hospitals that is critical for determination of study eligibility and ongoing patient care.
  • Maintain regular communication with Clinical Research Coordinator II/Senior and/or Clinical Research Nurse in relation to assigned tasks and in compliance with study protocols.
  • Participate in required training and education programs, as well as monitoring and auditing activities.
  • Participate in scheduling patient visits in accordance with patient plan of treatment and study protocol requirements.
  • Perform the preparation, collection, processing, and shipment of lab specimens to central vendors in accordance with study lab manuals. Will be required to complete IATA training.
  • Responsible for study lab kit inventory management.
  • Travel to other research offices and area hospitals, as needed to assist with study-related tasks and courier critical kits, samples.

Qualifications

Minimum Job Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

  • Five years of experience in a clinical setting as a Medical Assistant, Pharmacy Tech, Patient Care Assistant, Phlebotomist, or equivalent discipline.
  • Associate degree preferred.

  • Large percent of time performing computer-based work is required. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 lbs. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
