BayCare is currently in search of our newest Pediatric and Congenital Cardiac Sonographer who is passionate about providing outstanding customer service to our community.   • Status: Part-time

  • Shift Days/Hours: Mon thru Fri 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Days/Hours Vary)

  • Location: St Petersburg, FL - will also be required to travel to Tampa and Sarasota

  • Weekend Work: None

  • On Call: No

  • Always in person

Responsibilities:

  • Perform clinical and diagnostic echocardiograms and pediatric and adult congenital cardiac patient's inpatient, outpatient and procedural settings and for assisting in other areas of the Pediatric Non-Invasive Lab.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Required - BLS (Basic Life Support)

  • Required - RDCS (Sonography) - within 1 year; Or - RCS (Sonography) - within 1 year.

  • Required - Technical; Preferred - Associates - Related Field

  • Required 6 months of Echocardiology experience

  • Required 6 months of Pediatric experience

  • Travel required to Tampa and Sarasota

Highly Preferred skills:

  • Ability to document and record cardiac pathology in order for the physician to render a diagnosis

  • Ability to work independently as a care team member

  • Professional interaction with team members

  • Effective communication skills, detailed oriented and ability to adapt to unforeseen circumstances

  • Ability to recognize a variety of different types of cardiac defects and demonstrate the ability to tailor the exam based on the defect and patient cooperation
