Clinical Dietitian

Join UCLA West Valley Medical Center as a Clinical Dietitian and play a vital role in providing exceptional medical nutrition therapy to inpatient areas across a variety of specialties.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments, develop care plans, and provide ongoing monitoring and reassessment.
- Educate patients and provide appropriate referrals for continued care post-discharge.
- Perform Nutrition-Focused Physical Exams (NFPE) and assess malnutrition.
- Collaborate with dietetic technicians, food service staff, nurses, physicians, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Participate in departmental initiatives, performance improvement activities, meetings, and patient care rounds.
- Provide coverage across various units based on department needs, rather than a fixed assignment.
Salary Range: $47.36-$55.24 Hourly
*May convert to career* Qualifications Required:
- Registered Dietitian or Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist (RD/RDN) registered with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics' Commission on Dietetic Registration.
- Understanding of food service systems, menu planning, and food safety, to ensure that patients receive appropriate meals during their stay.
- Proficiency in conducting comprehensive nutritional assessments, including interpreting lab results and understanding the patient's current and past medical history.
- Availability to work weekends and holidays.
