All Star Healthcare Solutions is seeking a board certified gastroenterologist for a locum tenens opportunity in Louisiana. This role includes both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities with full nursing support and access to a GI endoscopy lab.

  • Work Setting: 20 bed ICU, 166 bed hospital, GI endoscopy lab

  • Support Staff:

    • Nursing support in clinic

    • Nursing support in GI lab

  • Clinical Responsibilities:

    • Hemostasis of bleeding lesion

    • Esophageal variceal banding

    • Hemorrhoidal banding

    • Argon plasma coagulation (APC)

    • Banding lesions

    • Liver biopsy

    • Diagnostic testing (motility/manometry)

    • Colonoscopy

    • Biopsy

    • Proctoscopy and/or flexible sigmoidoscopy

    • Upper GI endoscopy

    • Capsule endoscopy

    • Retrograde cholangio pancreatography (ERCP)

    • Sphincterotomy/stone removal

    • Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS)

    • Biliary/pancreatic stent placement

    • Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG)

  • EMR: EPIC
