Full-Time Retail Associate

Join our dynamic team as a Retail Associate where you will play a crucial role in creating an exceptional shopping experience for our customers You will engage in merchandising, stocking, cashiering, and maintaining the cleanliness of the store to ensure it looks its best.

Position Type: Full-Time Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week Starting Wage: $18.50 per hour Wage Increases: Year 2 - $19.00 | Year 3 - $19.50 | Year 4 - $20.60 | Year 5 - $22.10

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) relevant to your role.
  • Process customer purchases efficiently, maintain store cleanliness, and stock shelves with care.
  • Provide outstanding customer service by assisting shoppers to enhance their experience.
  • Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with management.
  • Offer feedback to management on products, inventory issues, and other relevant matters.
  • Participate in regular store inventory counts and monitor stock accuracy.
  • Adhere to cash handling policies to minimize losses.
  • Comply with all company policies while safeguarding confidentiality of documents.
  • Undertake other assigned duties as required.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stock merchandise, including lifting items up to 45 pounds and placing them at various heights.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk throughout the store.
  • Capability to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old to apply.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide prompt and friendly customer service.
  • Proficient in operating a cash register accurately and efficiently.
  • Skilled in safely using store equipment (hand jacks, floor scrubbers, cardboard balers).
  • Ability to uphold cleanliness standards in accordance with company procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team effectively.
  • Organized and detail-oriented with strong multi-tasking abilities.
  • Meet all state and local regulations regarding alcohol sales.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior retail experience is a plus.
  • A combination of education and experience providing relevant knowledge is acceptable.
