For over 100 years, Angell Animal Medical Center has served the greater Boston area as the second oldest animal hospital in the country. We are a primary care facility, a 24-hour emergency/critical care hospital (certified level 1 VECCS hospital), and a tertiary referral center. We know that you've worked hard in your veterinary career and we will give you the opportunity to use and expand your knowledge and experience. The skills our Oncology Veterinary Technicians/Assistants excel at are phlebotomy, and may be trained to administer chemotherapy using our safe closed system devices to administer chemotherapy treatments.
Our Oncology team is trained to develop strong knowledge of all chemotherapy agents used in our practice while wearing up to date PPE. Angell technicians and assistants also practice the most up to date safety guidelines and will soon be working in a newly renovated environment using all federal and state safety regulations. Our Oncology team participates in daily Rounds to review the current day patient's treatment plans. Our veterinary medical oncology technicians and Assistants develops strong bonds with owners pet's undergo treatment, with the focus to provide the best quality of life for our patients.
Compensation:
Veterinary Assistants starting $22-$27/hour
Certified Veterinary Technicians starting $25-$30/hr, $6500 sign on bonus for experienced assistants and CVTs
