Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic 1st shift DIRECT HIRE

Job Description

Join our team as a Maintenance Mechanic where you will be responsible for maintaining building systems, including lighting, HVAC, plumbing, and wiring. Your role will involve troubleshooting and repairing facility and production equipment and conducting preventative maintenance on production machinery.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on building systems such as lighting, HVAC, plumbing, and wiring.

• Troubleshoot and repair facility and production equipment.

• Conduct preventative maintenance on production machinery.

• Apply basic knowledge of facility systems including boilers, chillers, and HVAC for minor repairs.

• Upgrade equipment by engineering and fabricating custom parts.

• Install new equipment as needed.

• Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to manage work orders.

• Perform electrical repairs, including light-duty wiring and troubleshooting.

Essential Skills

• Mechanical troubleshooting skills.

• Experience in using CMMS.

• Basic computer application skills such as word processing and order systems.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience working with machines and control systems.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Technical certification or degree from a college or trade school is preferred.

• Familiarity with working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to chemicals, dust, fumes, extreme temperatures, and humidity.
