Certified Surgical Technologist - Robotics/Vascular/Thoracics Experience

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

  • Shift: 4x10-Hour (07:00 - 17:30)
  • On-call: 4-6 calls within a 6-week matrix with a 30-minute response required
  • Weekends: 4-6 weekend shifts within a 6-week matrix (weekends can be scheduled days, evenings, or nights)
  • Holidays as needed
Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist with expertise in robotics, vascular, and thoracic surgeries. The ideal candidate must have at least 2 years of experience in multi-specialties including Orthopedic, Thoracic, Vascular, and Robotics.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are available and prepared.
  • Prepare and maintain a sterile field, demonstrating proficiency in aseptic technique.
  • Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure the safety and care of patients.
  • Float to sterile processing as needed and provide care for COVID patients when required.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a surgical setting, focused on multi-specialties.
  • Certification by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Experience with EPIC electronic medical records (EMR) is preferred.
  • Level I trauma experience is required.
