Position Details:

• Pay: $30.45 per hour for drivers with 1+ years' experience, paid weekly

• Schedule/Hours: Mon-Fri, 4-5-day work week, dispatching between 3am-5am

Position Purpose:

As a Class A Delivery Driver, you will play a critical role in the country's food supply chain. You will ensure that customers receive their products on time and in good condition, establishing lasting relationships with them. Your responsibilities include driving a tractor trailer or straight truck for deliveries, adhering to safety norms, and complying with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Communicate and interact professionally with customers, vendors, and co-workers, ensuring all inquiries are addressed promptly and accurately.

• Act as a vital team member within the organization, performing assigned duties to support company goals.

• Conduct safety checks, including pre/post-trip inspections of the tractor/truck and trailer in accordance with DOT regulations.

• Report any safety issues or required repairs immediately.

• Adhere to all DOT regulations and company driving policies.

• Inspect the trailer to ensure freight is correctly loaded and secured.

• Verify the count of items and check customer invoices before loading.

• Complete all necessary paperwork associated with freight accurately and legibly.

• Prepare the tractor for loading, attaching the preloaded trailer as necessary.

• Drive to delivery locations according to predetermined routes.

• Unload products from the trailer and transport them to designated customer storage areas.

• Conduct damage control checks on items and address any issues per company policy.

• Confirm delivery with customers and obtain necessary signatures.

• Collect payments where required and secure all returns properly.

• Ensure security of the tractor, trailer, and freight at all times.

• Return damaged goods or customer returns to the check-in area and complete required paperwork.

• Maintain a daily record of hours of service adhering to Federal DOT, state, and company guidelines.

• Keep the tractor and loading dock area clean and organized.

• Secure all equipment and finalize paperwork at the end of each shift.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 6 months of commercial driving experience.
• High school diploma/GED or state-approved equivalent.
• Valid CDL A license.
• Meet all state licensing and certification requirements.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years.
• Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Pass a road test.
• Valid DOT Health Card or ability to secure one.
• Able to lift and move freight of varying sizes and weights, generally between 10-35 pounds and occasionally up to 60-90 pounds, using appropriate equipment.
