We offer competitive sign-on bonuses for eligible full-time therapists: $7,500 for those with one year of experience and $5,000 for those with less than a year. Relocation assistance and $1,800 in tax-free loan repayment per year are also available.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver independent respiratory therapy services in compliance with physician orders and established protocols (20%)
  • Conduct accurate blood gas analyses and report results (10%)
  • Manage patients on all types of mechanical ventilation (20%)
  • Establish and maintain airways using specialized equipment (10%)
  • Ensure thorough documentation for all procedures and engage in patient and family education (10%)
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare team members, providing accurate reports and recommendations (10%)
  • Adhere to infection control practices and maintain equipment sterilization (10%)
  • Demonstrate resourcefulness in managing supplies and optimizing productivity

Employment Overview

This role reports to a supervisor or higher-level management and is not a management position.

Essential Qualifications

Applicants must have graduated from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program or be eligible for licensure in South Carolina, or be a senior student graduating soon.

Required Credentials

Licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in South Carolina or eligibility for licensure is required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is necessary, and candidates must maintain NBRC credentials. Note that employees hired prior to June 2016 may hold a Certified Respiratory Therapist status; others must pass the appropriate NBRC examinations.

NRP and PALS certifications are mandatory for those working in specialized pediatric units.

Preferred Skills and Experience

Successful candidates will excel in team collaboration and demonstrate strong communication, computer, and organizational skills.
