Part-Time Palliative Care APP (0.6 FTE)

Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our Palliative Care team in a part-time capacity. This role is designed for providers who are passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in an inpatient setting.

Schedule & FTE Details

  • 0.6 FTE (24 hours per week)
  • Three 8-hour shifts per week
  • Fixed schedule with flexibility for provider time-off coverage
  • Beginning mid-2026: one weekend shift per month

Scope of Work

  • Primary patient populations: Inpatient units, ICU, and ED consults (as applicable)
  • Typical patient volume: 4-7 patients per day
  • No procedures or interventions required

Call & Coverage

  • No on-call responsibilities

Qualifications

  • Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with VA state certification
  • Prior experience in palliative care, critical care, or related fields preferred, but not required
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
