Senior Accountant

We're seeking a Senior Staff Accountant. This role will report directly to the Corporate Controller and play a key part in supporting accounting operations across multiple entities and business lines. About the Role

The Senior Staff Accountant will oversee specific areas of accounting support for operations-helping teams interpret their financial results and maintain accuracy across systems. Responsibilities include managing reconciliations, assisting with the monthly close, and ensuring proper flow of data between invoicing, payables, and the accounting system. This individual will also be cross-trained to assist with invoicing and payables as needed.

Because of the cyclical nature of the industry, occasional overtime will be required during peak periods.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary accounting contact for designated operational units.
• Support the Controller with month-end close activities and reporting.
• Prepare and review monthly reconciliations.
• Assist with invoicing and billing processes as needed.
• Evaluate the impact of GAAP updates on company financials.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.
• Contribute to the integration of accounting systems for newly acquired entities.
• Provide guidance or mentorship to junior accounting staff as appropriate.
• Support external audit preparation and coordination.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting required.
• 3+ years of accounting experience (public or corporate).
• CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced).
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to take ownership of tasks and work independently.
