Baptist Health Urgent Care is seeking compassionate and dedicated Family Nurse Practitioners to provide excellent patient care.

JOB SUMMARY:
As a Family Nurse Practitioner, you will be instrumental in offering comprehensive medical care to patients of all ages, addressing various acute and chronic conditions. Your role will involve diagnosing, treating, and educating patients in collaboration with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals, all while maintaining the highest standards of service and medical practice.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
These duties typically represent the expectations for this position, but additional tasks may be assigned.

  • Deliver outstanding customer service to patients, visitors, and coworkers.
  • Provide friendly and accessible patient care to individuals seeking healthcare services.
  • Lead and assist during emergencies, maintaining a calming and reassuring presence.
  • Adapt to a dynamic work environment characterized by varying levels of stress and contact with others.
  • Conduct medical assessments, treatment, management, and follow-up for clinic patients, covering primary care, urgent care, occupational health, DOT physicals, and workers' compensation.
  • Perform medical procedures such as laceration repairs, nail removal, pap tests, injections, splinting, and abscess incision and drainage.
  • Establish and evaluate appropriate care levels for patients.
  • Oversee on-site laboratory, x-rays, injections, and collections for direct access services, when applicable.
  • Maintain clinical competency.
  • Collaborate with leadership and staff to align operations with medical policies and professional standards.
  • Contribute to the development and revision of policies affecting medical practice and patient care quality.
  • Assist with in-service and continuing education programs for associates.
  • Propose opportunities for growth and enhancement of services.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable licensing, certification, and accreditation requirements.
  • Assist in creating and presenting educational programs for team members.
  • Represent the company and clinic at various internal and external events as needed.
  • Guide other medical staff to ensure quality services and patient satisfaction.

WHAT'S REQUIRED?
Successful candidates will have:

  • Preferred experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
  • Active state APRN license.
  • Current Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) Board Certification.
  • Current DEA license, or eligibility to obtain upon hire.
  • Current DOT certification, or willingness to obtain upon hire.
  • Current BLS certification.

WHAT'S THE SCHEDULE?
Our full-time team works a rotating schedule of 36-40 hours per week, including 12-hour shifts on weekdays and every other weekend. PRN (per diem) team members will be scheduled on an as-needed basis.
