We are seeking a Project Manager / Estimator to lead commercial glazing projects—including storefronts, curtain walls, and aluminum framing—throughout the Astoria area. This role manages estimating, planning, procurement, and field execution to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. The ideal candidate brings strong technical knowledge of glass and aluminum systems along with proven project management skills. This position is central to coordinating teams, maintaining quality, and driving successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Review architectural and construction drawings to develop accurate estimates for glazing, storefront, curtain wall, and aluminum framing systems.

• Manage project budgets, schedules, procurement, and subcontractor coordination from award through completion.

• Oversee installation teams, ensuring work aligns with plans, specifications, and quality requirements.

• Monitor progress across multiple jobs, identify risks, and implement corrective actions.

• Ensure compliance with building codes, safety standards, and industry standards.

• Lead communication with clients, vendors, and internal teams to maintain alignment.

• Prepare project documentation, change orders, and closeout materials.

Requirements

  • Experience in commercial glazing, curtain walls, storefronts, or aluminum framing systems.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings, and construction documents.
  • Background in estimating for glazing or related construction trades.
  • Proven project management skills with experience handling multiple jobs simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and glazing installation standards.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with project management and estimating software.
