Job Overview

The Georgetown Climate Center is looking to hire a Business Operations Analyst 1 who will provide administrative and analytical support to the Director of Business Operations.

At the direction of the Director of Business Operations, this position will be involved in the transactional accounting of Climate Center to support its procurement and contract activities, including performing various day-to-day procurement, accounts payable, requisition, and procurement card activities. The Business Operations Analyst 1will provide regular updates to the Director of Business Operations on the status of the Climate Center transactions and help to ensure timely and efficient approvals.

Work Interactions

This position reports directly to the Director of Business Operations. The Business Operations Analyst 1 will also regularly engage with internal Climate Center staff to assist the Business Operations Director in ensuring the day-to-day operational needs of the center are being met. In addition, the Business Operations Analyst 1 will work with external vendors, independent contractors, and consultants in the processing of invoices and payments.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required; 1-3 years of business administration or office management experience needed.
  • Position requires strong analytical skills, exceptional organizational capabilities, strong written and verbal communication skills, sound judgment, a service-oriented attitude, the ability to be discreet and prioritize competing demands. Workday experience preferred. Experience working in a higher education setting preferred

Pay Range:

The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:
$44,022.00 - $73,406.80

Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
