Travel LPN - Medical Care Unit (Night Shift)
Location: Johnston-Willis Hospital, Richmond, VA
Start Date: 08/11/2025
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

Schedule:
  • 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
  • Every other weekend & major holidays required
  • No on-call
Unit Details:
  • Unit: Medical Care Unit (4 West)
  • Beds: 32
  • Staff Support: Clinical Coordinator/Charge Nurse, RNs, PCTs, and Unit Secretary (until 11 PM)
  • Patient Ratio: 6:1
  • Patient Type: Primarily cardio-pulmonary; may receive general medical and stable COVID-19 patients
  • Equipment: Standard nursing equipment, BiPAP (stable), Mid/Flow, PD, Heparin Gtts, Philips Cardiac Monitors
  • EMR: Meditech 6.0
Requirements:
  • Active LPN license
  • BLS Certification (ACLS not required)
  • Minimum 2 years Med/Surg experience
  • Willingness to work weekends & high-admission/discharge turnover
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
Preferred:
  • Positive, "can-do" attitude
  • Understanding of HCAHPS
  • Self-motivated and accountable
Floating:
  • May float to similar Med/Surg units or stepdown with a Med/Surg assignment
Dress Code:
  • Navy scrubs, closed-toe shoes
