Senior Product Manager

Join Canopy as a Senior Product Manager and make an impactful difference in our business and customer experience. In this key role, you will thoroughly understand the needs of our customers in the fintech sector and leverage this knowledge to propel innovative initiatives forward. You'll not only own these initiatives but also play a vital role in shaping our overall product strategy, especially in the realms of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence.

What You Will Do:

  • Expand Your Domain Expertise: Continuously enhance your understanding of the lending landscape, competitors, ecosystem partners, and the fintech infrastructure.
  • Represent Canopy: Position yourself as an expert in our product, capable of articulating it clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Present Effectively: Develop compelling presentations and high-quality materials for diverse stakeholders, including senior leadership and sales prospects.
  • Influence Scope and Prioritization: Leverage user insights to identify and drive business objectives, navigating trade-offs between features and speed to market.
  • Advocate for Customers: Analyze and tackle customer challenges to enhance their business operations.
  • Enhance the User Experience: Transform complex back-office processes into intuitive digital solutions.
  • Champion Product Impact: Communicate the value of our offerings to a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Foster Organizational Collaboration: Promote collaboration across functions to bolster product development and corporate health.

A Typical Day:

  • 50%: Collaborating with your team on exploring problems and solutions, prioritizing features, and planning for the future.
  • 20%: Context-building with stakeholders and facilitating cross-functional communication within the product team.
  • 20%: Conducting market research, competitor analysis, and gathering customer feedback to refine product strategies.
  • 10%: Enhancing team dynamics, improving processes, and focusing on personal development.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Background in fintech lending and banking.
  • Understanding: In-depth knowledge of the lending life cycle and key financial concepts.
  • Decision-Making: Proven success in making informed product decisions and designing Minimum Viable Product (MVP) solutions in uncertain environments.
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in SQL and analytical tools; knowledge of Python and Node.js is a significant advantage.
  • Remote Experience: Demonstrated ability to succeed in remote work settings.
  • Communication: Excellent skills in conveying complex technical details to various audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in building machine learning and AI products.
  • Deep understanding of small businesses and SMB lending.

Salary range: $165,000 - $190,000 per year, with compensation reflecting experience and location.
