Afternoon Shift Automotive Technician

Job Description

You will work in a modern facility with brand new vehicles, providing an opportunity to see future products and development before they reach the public. The work environment fosters growth and skill enhancement, with 16 technicians on your team and a total of 58 in the garage. You will primarily interact with engineering team members and group leaders.

Join our dynamic team as an Automotive Technician, where you will be responsible for replacing parts, fixing issues, and diagnosing problems on development vehicles. Collaborate closely with engineering teams and fellow technicians to ensure the smooth operation and testing of our innovative vehicle projects.

Responsibilities

• Receive and prioritize work tickets from the engineering team to conduct tasks such as changing tires, structure testing, and water testing.

• Work on a variety of vehicles, ranging from trucks to Corvettes, ensuring high-quality maintenance and development.

• Participate in daily meetings with group leaders to discuss safety incidents, learning opportunities, and task prioritization.

• Collaborate with engineering team members and fellow technicians to address and resolve vehicle issues efficiently.

• Utilize a basic mechanic tool set, which you must own, to perform necessary repairs and diagnostics.

Essential Skills

• Strong mechanical experience

• Proficiency in vehicle diagnostics and repair

• Experience with integration, mechanical, repair, electrical troubleshooting, and diagnostics.

• Possession of a High School Diploma.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with EV and high voltage systems is strongly preferred.

• Dealership experience is beneficial and translates well to this role.

• Motivated and willing to learn with a positive attitude.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Milford, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $29.00/hr.
