Although Hajoca is a large company, we work in a decentralized environment where each of our locations, called Profit Centers (PCs), is run by the Profit Center Manager as if it were their own small business. A typical Profit Center is the heart of our business and consists of a warehouse, counter, sales office, and (sometimes) a showroom. Our PCs conduct business under unique trade names and offer a customized business approach, honoring what's special about each local marketplace.
Moore Supply Company is one of those trade names and is looking for a Will-Call/Curbside Department Specialist at their Corpus Christi, TX location.
Are you outgoing and do you value customer service? Are you knowledgeable and service-oriented? Do you have the determination to close sales and build lasting relationships with new and existing customers? If so, we'd like you to join our team as a Will-Call/Curbside Department Specialist.
About the Role:
The Will-Call/Curbside Specialist provides total care for our customers by combining the service excellence of counter sales with the operational precision of warehouse support. This position ensures every pickup experience is accurate, efficient, and positive, from the moment a customer arrives until their order is safely loaded. The Will-Call/Curbside Specialist bridges the sales floor and the warehouse, maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction, product knowledge, and operational accuracy to reflect Moore Supply's world-class Will-Call/Curbside Department reputation.
In this role, your responsibilities will include:
Customer Service & Counter Sales
- Confidently assist customers who purchase and/or pick up merchandise at the Profit Center.
- Engage with customers in a friendly, professional manner, ensuring every interaction reflects our commitment to service excellence.
- Accurately process and fill Sales Orders generated at the will-call counter.
- Verify pick ticket dates, obtain signatures before releasing material, and ensure documentation accuracy.
- Communicate potential customer concerns or business changes to management.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked Will-Call/Curbside Department.
- Uphold security and control at this key customer interaction point.
- Pick, stage, and prepare customer orders for pickup with precision and attention to detail.
- Verify item quantities and descriptions to ensure order accuracy and completeness.
- Verify and receive ground/parcel shipments and customer returns as required.
- Receive and document incoming material, verify quantities, and report discrepancies such as damage or shortages.
- Contact customers via phone or text message to inform them their order is ready for pick-up.
- Collaborate with warehouse teammates to ensure inventory accuracy and efficient order flow.
- Follow all safety procedures for material handling, forklift operation, and equipment use.
- Use computer and RF systems to process orders, verify inventory, and update transactions.
- Communicate proactively with sales and warehouse teams to resolve issues quickly and accurately.
- Follow company safety and compliance policies and successfully complete required training.
- Represent the Moore Supply brand with professionalism, urgency, and teamwork.
- Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by management.
- 1+ years' experience in customer service or counter sales; contractor sales preferred.
- Knowledge of products sold in the Profit Center.
- Have at least one year of warehouse and material handling experience.
- Demonstrate willingness and desire to train and invest in knowledge of products sold in the profit center.
- Demonstrate outstanding customer service, verbal communication, and generous listening skills and a team oriented mindset.
- Be able to build and maintain a positive working relationship with customers, vendors and co-workers.
- Know of, be able to apply and practice safety precautions in a warehouse and material handling environment.
- Be able to learn to operate forklifts and other warehouse material-handling equipment. Must be able to lift and move materials up to 80 lbs.
- Be able to remain calm and effective in fast-paced or unexpected situations.
- Be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Be able to learn and operate computer related, order entry, and inventory systems.
- Read, write, speak, and understand English.
