Machine Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on industrial equipment, with a focus on machines such as balers, compactors, and other facility systems. This is a full-time day shift position with consistent weekday hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components of balers, compactors, and similar equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance according to established schedules to ensure minimal downtime.
- Respond promptly to equipment malfunctions and complete necessary repairs.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and service records.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies.
- Coordinate with external vendors when specialized repairs or inspections are required.
- Support other general maintenance duties across the facility as needed.
- 2+ years of experience in industrial or mechanical maintenance (experience with balers and compactors highly preferred).
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical repairs.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Basic proficiency with tools and diagnostic equipment.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certifications are a plus.
- Must be reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in various environments including loud, dusty, or hot areas.
- Able to stand, kneel, climb ladders, and use hand tools for extended periods.
