As a Senior Software Engineer on the Developer Experience (DX) and Platform Infrastructure team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the development experience at Dutchie. Your responsibilities will include designing and maintaining local development tools and supporting applications running on our EKS clusters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Developer Experience: Collaborate with engineering and product teams to identify challenges and opportunities in our software development processes, advocating for improvements that enhance efficiency and satisfaction.
  • Architect and Build Tools: Develop, implement, and maintain internal tools to automate repetitive tasks and streamline workflows from local development to production.
  • Enhance CI/CD Pipelines: Upgrade our continuous integration and deployment processes, focusing on robustness, efficiency, and scalability, improving build times, deployment safety, and testing workflows.
  • Manage Kubernetes Infrastructure: Contribute to the design and operation of our Kubernetes environments (EKS), ensuring a stable foundation for our applications through effective configuration and observability.
  • AWS Infrastructure Management: Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Pulumi or Terraform to manage and provision AWS resources.
  • Optimize Networking and Edge Services: Implement technologies like Cloudflare and various ingress solutions for improved application performance, security, and reliability.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud infrastructure and compute platforms.
  • Strong technical leadership capabilities with extensive experience owning complex cross-functional projects.
  • An advocate for developer experience, with a history of building platforms that enhance developer productivity.
  • Solid Docker/Linux experience with the ability to write and optimize Dockerfiles.
  • Deep understanding of CI/CD practices and hands-on experience with modern CI/CD systems.
  • Proficiency in Kubernetes and its ecosystem to manage production-grade deployments.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools for resource management.
  • Strong programming skills in languages like Python (preferred), Go, or Ruby.
