Duties and Responsibilities

This position will support the Bureau of Commercial Vehicle and Driver Services activities within the Division of Motorist Services. Under the direction of the Chief of Commercial Vehicle and Driver Services, the incumbent is responsible for being a liaison for the license plate agencies that issue International Registration Plan (IRP) credentials and managing the day-to-day bureau activities. This includes but is not limited to monitoring the license plate agencies for quality assurance, assisting with troubleshooting system issues, communicating with internal and external stakeholders. This position may assist with process improvement and governance activities within the Division of Motorist Services. This position is required to have a strategic focus and act as the primary liaison between the license plate agencies FLHSMV members, the tax collector community, and other stakeholders to manage related business endeavors.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with the following:
  • Experience in the International Registration Plan and International Fuel Tax Agreement.
  • Experience gathering and documenting business requirements.
  • Experience analyzing and mapping business processes.
  • Experience coordinating assignments requiring the collaboration of multiple individuals and/or cross-functional groups.
  • Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • FLHSMV employees are paid once a month on the last workday of each month. All state employees are required to participate in the direct deposit program pursuant to s. 110.113 Florida Statutes.
